Who knew it paid to be on as many chain e-mail lists as possible? The allegation that plans have been hidden inside internet porn has, so far, proven unsupported.

No doubt there are lots of people in law enforcement and in technology companies that will try to use the 9/11 attacks to advance their pet projects. The interesting thing about all of this is how increasing amounts of technology seem to make our way of life more and more fragile and especially vulnerable to attack by those who want no part of our culture. All of the "rational self-interest" theories no longer seem to make sense.
