I don't know why Christians are so much more aggresively brutal in the name of religion than are Buddhists, Shintos, and Hindus Hindus? You're kidding, right? Just last night I had dinner with a pastor from India who faces persecution daily from Hindus. He is pastoring a church in a slum area of Mumbai and has had to keep moving every few months to keep his family safe. Many people he knows have been killed and the numbers are easily in the thousands of Christians in the recent past who have been killed in that one area alone.

Tell them that if the Christians had felt that way during World War II then they would not be able to express their idiotic thoughts today.

What about people who claim to be Christian yet believe in the right to choose. I don't get it. I also don't get a "Christian" voting for Gore or Clinton and I have two relatives who fit that category. You can't argue with a stump. Well, you can but you'll not get an intelligent response.

The logical end to Christian pacifism is the obliteration of Chrisianity. I don't like picking fights, either, but I wouldn't sit still with a bowl of potato(e) chips while an intruder shoots me wife and rapes my dog!

Why do folks like you repeat the same old tired leftist myths? It is either out of ignorance or duplicity.
Iraq has ALL the money it needs to feed kids (what, no one over 18 is dying also? Less drama there though huh?).
You know and I know tha Sadam has been building palaces and re-arming as fast as he cares to and THAT is the money you should be looking at to put some protein in the kiddos!<p.Why dont you state the obvious? Money is fungible and every penny spent on Sadam's ego could be spent elsewhere, but then your Evil-US train would run out of steam wouldn't it? Hypocrite.

Slap the h%ll out of them, and see if they turn the other cheek. Thats always a good test. If they don't, say "That's what we are doing". Jesus never said we are suposed to be slaughtered. Thats why he said to sell your cloak and get a sword. He knew what was coming.

Tell him that in Romans the government is given the responsibility to carry out justice-"with the sword", and to put fear in the hearts of evil-doers. Indeed, it was God's mandate that cvil government exist for the defence of the law and to exact punishment on evildoers-thus allowing in some cases for war, but only defensive.
I do agree with him that that the US is dead wrong in supporting regiems that have restrictive laws such as Saudi Arabia, or China. We should remove our troops and bases-they don't seem to care that much for us anyway.

"500,000 young Iraqi children to die (AFTER the end of the Gulf War)"
your right....it's all our fault(sarcasam/off)
Why aren't the Iraqi's themselves responsible.....they allowed themselves to be led/whipped into submission by that lunatic Sadam, whom they cow down to. We did what we had to do because the people of Iraq are to stupid, or cowardly to take care of it themselves.
With that said I would have gone all the way to bagdad and finished him off but for reasons I am not privy to we did not.

Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:
if my kingdom were of this world, then would my
servants fight, that I should not be delivered to
the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence

If the guy is a Christian, then Romans 13:4 lays out government's responsibility. His mistake is to apply an individual's responsibility to government. Poor application of scripture. He makes the same mistake by applying the responsibility for charity to the government.

Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence Exactly. Which is why the Church has no army and why the Crusades were NOT a Christian deal. I agree. But that does NOT preclude nations (even predominantly Christian nations) from having armies. Romans 13 explains this. It is also why separation of Church and State is such a sacred thing.
