Jesse Jackson bashes Bush, press turns away
Jesse Jackson blasted Americas leaders and blamed the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on American arrogance in a weekly meeting at Operation PUSH headquarters in Chicago on Sept. 15. In separate appearances in the city during the week, Jackson and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan called on President George W. Bush to change U.S. policies they claim created anti-American hatred in the Middle East.
Outside Operation PUSH headquarters on South Drexel Avenue was a van from the Red Cross, and the cavernous hall was packed. Up on stage, Jackson was calling upon people to give blood. But rather than send them outside to the Red Cross van, he asked them to fill out an Operation PUSH recruitment card, promising that if blood were needed his group would give them a call.
Maybe I'm ill-informed and everyone knows more than I do about this, but I've checked the AP wire, UPI, Reuters, MSNBC.com, Drudge, and others, and there's not a word about Jesse Jackson going to Afghanistan.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and point me to a credible source.
Regards, Lenny
No, just wait, maybe more vermin and left wing trash will rush over there! The Taliban will take all of them as hostages. Then GW makes the announcement that we don't negotiate with terrorists for hostages. GW fades out on tv, the cruise missiles come into view and, well you know the rest of the story!
Let him come back on only one condition: Osama bin Laden in tow.
SUICIDE BOMBER!
Yep. They seem to be multiplying, the international anti-American busybodies. The least we can do is let the President know we support putting Jackson somewhere where he won't hurt himself or others.
E-mail President Bush

Though Louis Farrakhan expressed sorrow at Americas tragedy, Jesse Jackson tried to transform a moment of national mourning into the tattered politics of race war.

There ARE security issues at risk here and this isn't the Clinton administration.
We do need to dig and get the truth, tho.
Thank you, sw
I said he was going to be on Chris Matthew's show Hardball to discuss this. That is, I suppose, a 'credible source'.
