No, cook him a nice meal, give him some clean clothes, take a picture and drop it among the other Taliban troops. Tell them they will be treated better as prisoners than as enemy soldiers. It worked wonders with Saddam's troops, it will do the same here. As long as the United States makes it clear that we do not intend to permanantly occupy Afghanistan, we will not unify the various tribes against us, and can instead use psychology to implode the Taliban.

Do we really want these guys hanging around next time. I say kill them, wrap them in bacon strips and leave them out for the flies. And take pics, lots of pics. Endure the screaming of the international community but know that this won't happen again. These guys understand one thing,,death and pigs. Everything else is foreign to them.

Your point is well taken and if this were an enemy which I feared would present a major challenge to our armed forces I might even agree to some extent. However, since the wife and I know two people who were killed in the WTC attack (including one of the police rescuers called to the scene), I am more in the mood to explode the Taliban.
