Did Congressman David Dreier mention that he too is 'considering National IDs?' Because by his definition, EVERYONE is 'considering' it, including him. What is really happening is that in the list of 50 million ways to respond to terrorism, the National ID happens to be on the list. So does 'Nuking the entire Middle East,' 'dropping pork bombs', deporting Janet Reno to Palestine, and every other possibility that planners can think of both good or bad or logical or illogical. So ANYONE who looks at the list is 'considering the National ID' - that does NOT mean that all of the people in office are SERIOUSLY considering it, and it does NOT mean that anyone has endorsed the idea.

Look; if Sean asked him would you consider putting al Arab Americans in intern camps, would he say "Well, we're not ruling anything out. These are extreme times that may call for extreme measures" ??? Of course not, because he would say it's a preposterous notion. That's what I wanted him to say about this idea; but he didn't; he said EXACTLY what I have in quotes.
