I'm just curious as to how a federal prosecutor would have inside information on the events of last Tuesday.
As OKC Sub points out, it's all second hand.

The info Schippers knows about is second hand in the sense that it did not directly come from an actual terrorist involved.
Much of even the FBI's best info is second hand in the sense that it did not come directly from terrorists. And some of the info that comes to the FBI from informants can be flawed especially if it comes from people who double crossed them which has happened before.
But most of Schippers info is first hand in the sense that it came from people who are directly involved in investigations. Schippers' info is as direct as is possible.
