For some reason, I knew you or someone else were going to come at me with the "Only 4 days thing".

Let me set this straight. I am a supporter of freerepublic.com. I donated my cash to them. I believe in their cause and appreciate everything they do. BUT I ONLY BEEN HERE 4 DAYS SO THAT MAKES YOU AND OTHERS OPINIONS THAT BEEN HERE LONGER MORE IMPORTANT THAN MINE. Because you stated:

"I will have to think long and hard about taking advice from someone who has been here for 4 days"

Okay, whatever.....If we really want to go there, how many freeploaders are around here? I guess if they been here longer, that is what really counts, huh? Personally, I think we should all be on equal ground around here regardless of time registered or donations given. But apparently some feel differently. That's fine.

I wasn't familiar that you have written parody songs, so my apologies to you. You do have every right to do that. I just see so much hypricitical points in this thread. Like the song or not, (which I have noted I really do not care for it), I do not believe in banning it from certain radio stations and I do not believe in censorship. That is wrong, and I am surprised that more people aren't discussing the aspect of that instead of trying to tell us what the song stands for, when Lennon himself said what it means. But I guess direct quotes from the songwriter himself don't matter. Hmmmmmmmm.....

If we are on the same side, I don't know why in hell you tried to pick a fight with me.

I donate every quarter.

re: being here 4 days ---- the point was that because you are new, you don't know what I've done on this site. Certainly, we get new people here all the time and we welcome them with open arms. What is interesting is having one speak out of his rear end about me belonging on a communist site when he has no freaking idea what I've done here for 4 1/2 years. That was the point. Unlike those who want to just get along, I don't put up with crap directed my way. In the battle with the left, I have learned you have to get in their faces.

Thank you for allowing me to do parody songs.

Don't you dare mention banning a song on a thread directed to me. Everyone here aleady knows, if you didn't, that I certainly don't believe in that. I would, however, burn my copy in public if I had one. That is my right. It would be my property. I have never advocated taking it off the radio but I certainly have the right to mock people and verbally eviscerate them for it.

re: what the song means ----- I recently visited my son in San Francisco and visited an art museum. I saw a urinal on display. I don't care what the artist says that means, I know what a urinal is. Writers choose words and phrases carefully and for a reason. When he wrote a song that says "no religion too," and makes a reference to no heaven or hell, I pretty well understand what he means. He will create his own religion and it will mean what he wants it to mean. And, my goodness, a multi-millionaire enjoying the fruits of capitalism spewing nonsense about no possessions is just too much to take. In his world, I'm sure he'd retain his possession because as Orwell concluded, some are more equal than others.

My patience for listening to any posturing coming from the left was completely extinguised during the 8 years of the criminal Clinton regime.

re: no countries --- someone who wants no countries must understand that there will be some form of government somewhere. It will be a world government. I will not give up the Constitution. Our nation has been the greatest force for good and for liberty in the history of this planet. I will not give up this country without a fight.

THE UNITED NATIONS WITH THE HELP OF YOKO HAS HIJACKED IT AS THEIR SONG. ONE WORLD OF UNITED NATIONS...........At the time Lennon wrote it he didn't believe in anything except himself and Yoko. God or Beatles or hell or heaven. That was '69/70/71.
