And i'm sure many of them did indeed wish to help out. What people on this thread are saying is that they seemed to have no idea what to do, so they produced a confused, contradictory mishmash of things ("Imagine" vs. "Won't Back Down"). No patriotic symbols and no mention of those still with a job to do and lives to risk (our military) and no rousing, uplifting songs at all. I do hope they try again, and make it less of a funeral. Maybe Young could "accidently" get locked in a closet.

With Neil Young singing that song, it's sending a strong message about free speech in our country. I think that could be considered a patriotic symbol, and of course others will argue it's sending a communism message to America.
