Maher tried to have it both ways. He emphasized that he thought that the orders themselves were cowardly, not the soldiers and sailors. Yet I did not hear him mention Clinton by name or title as being the author of such cowardly orders.

Then he said that it wasn't so mush WHAT he said, but WHEN he said it. Said the country was more sensitive and AT THIS TIME it was an inappropriate thing to say.

clinton is Maher's god. I don't think he could ever bring himself to criticize clinton by name. After all, he was the voice of clinton's tallywhacker in the spoken version of that book (forgot the name!)

He didn't mention Clinton by name because *he* was being cowardly. He's been a Clinton apologist, and lately a Condit apologist.

Maher harped over and over that the Clinton thing was "all about sex." He hasn't had the guts to come back and admit the obvious now: Clinton missed what was going on with terrorism because he was 1) too busy doing Monica and, later 2) too busy trying to cover up what he did with Monica.

Clinton had crucial conversations about world situations *while* in the midst of a sex act. Maher has continuously refused to admit that and also failed to recognize the vulnerability of Condit's committee assignments. Maher's defense of these men is destructive. He should be canceled.
