Not to nit-pick (well actually, this is 100% nit-picking) but you listed what Neil wanted to say; not what he actually said. He forget the "a" in "for a man." Again, not a biggie, but it always amuses me that he blew his line and said something non-sensical at such a momentous occassion.

Side note: I heard an interview with Buzz Aldrin once where Buzz admitted he was ticked at Neil and NASA for breaking policy and allowing Neil to leave the vehicle first. Typically, as commander, Neil would wait for his second to get out there first. But Neil wanted the glory, and NASA OK'ed it. So to get back at him in a petty manner, Buzz "accidently" left his camera on the moon. Therefore, most of the pics you see of Apollo 11 activity on the moon (but not Armstrong decending the ladder) are of Buzz. Shots of Neil are still waiting for us to pick them up.

"...Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, What should be the reward of such sacrifices?.... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom - go from us in peace. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you..."
