Hockey fans at Philadelphia's Rangers-Flyers game Thursday night were so enthralled with President Bush's speech that they actually forced the cancellation of the game's third period to continue watching on the arena's Jumbotron.
But seated in the House chamber, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was rolling her eyes, looking bored and remained seated as her colleagues gave Bush one standing ovation after another.
Friday morning her disengaged demeanor was being roundly panned by talk radio hosts everywhere.
"You know why she reacted that way," WABC's Curtis Sliwa told his partner Ron Kuby."She just saw her hopes to run for president next time around go up in smoke."
Down radio dial in New York, nationally syndicated talker Don Imus was even harder on the former first lady.
"She was disgraceful," Imus told his partner Charles McCord. "She looked irritable, rolling her eyes and talking."
Imus didn't care much for Sen. Clinton's post speech comments either. "I mean, she was going out of her way to point out how she'd spent the entire week down at ground zero, which is not true, by the way. But I think we know what that's all about."
Imus then turned his ire towards Mrs. Clinton's husband. "I just thank God that he's not still the president, that's all, because we didn't have to endure the self aggrandizing display of lip-biting and head wagging and 'I love you' to some bimbo in the balcony."
There's gotta be a psalm about this, being elevated in front of your enemies....singapore?
Agreed. In fact all amendments after the 14th should be repealed.
Which network showed this?
Now: Please tell me why she takes millions illegal foreign money to run her campaigns, and to promote foreign governments' agendas?
Does that make her a Chinese citizen, or an illegal American resident?
Does stealing 96,000.00 in NY school childrens' money from the former gov. of NY (before she gave him a Cabinet job and a job in the re-election campaign) make her an incompetent writer - since she only could finish 8 pages of her "report"), illegally receiving bribes, or simply a fellow liberal who wants 8 million for her next book - but takes 400,00.00 from Gingrich?
Interesting take. But I think she's too politically careful to intentionally risk making herself a pariah in front of 100 million Americans and at least as many foreign viewers.
Did you see the bear hug between Daschle and President Bush after the address? Deals were made. Good, wholesome bipartisan deals that will see us through this crisis. And Hillary was not involved. I suspect that, some time yesterday, Hitlery was quietly informed by Daschel and Gephardt that she is henceforth and permanently "out of the loop." Based on her history with the Black Panthers, the FALN terrorists, and her "kiss of death" with Yasser Arafat's wife when she committed the blood libel against Israel, Hitlery's image stands to decimate what's left of the Dem's chances to even survive as the viable second party of our two party system. I wouldn't even be surprised to see her step down under duress from the New York GOP.
I didn't mention the word "family," so I'm not sure what you're referring to. I said that the majority of "married" women voted for Bush. Married; that means having a husband. The majority of us voted for Bush. I don't think that's too difficult a concept to understand, is it?
I'm trying to figure out why you are ranting about Hillary as though I'm not in agreement with you. (IMO, Hillary is a jerk and a menace to society). I just don't happen to think that most women would vote for her against a man who is both strong and compassionate, but then again I don't have the disdain for women that you appear to have from your posts.
btw, I'm sure Hillary hasn't got the foggiest idea how to bake cookies.
