Given the track record of modern self-appointed prophets, I'm not worried.
You note he predicted thirty days of destruction and fire in New York and martial law. I don't see it. What does that tell you about his prophecy? In the Bible, every last detail of prophecy by God's appointed prophets came true. That is the test of a true prophet.
I hope everyone starts holding these modern prophets to their word. It's time that we stopped allowing these charismaniacs to bring the reputation of Christians into ridicule before the world.
If his predictions are not completely fulfilled, Wilkerson should be declared a false prophet and an unscriptural teacher.

We need to be drawn to God in love for our fellow man, and not fear of God's retribution.Say whu...?
Fellow man has nothing to do with loving God. We love God for His own sake, simply because He is God. If love for God is accepted in one's life, then and only then can one move on to loving others with the fullest measure.
"And not fear of God's retribution"? Okay, please tell me then: what ELSE has there been that has motivated man to do good, when a love for God fails?
Maybe you should go back and watch the President's speech again. Name one time in modern history that a President has invoked the power of prayer and the power of God in such a way as our President did last night.
Ronald Reagan.
Just because someone didn't say what you want them to say doesn't mean that they didn't say exactly the right thing.
It was a great speech. And I'm thankful, as both an American and a historian, that God let me be alive in such a time (tragic as it is) to hear it happen. I've a friend who remembers distinctly listening to FDR's "Day of Infamy" speech on the radio... and there've been times I've wondered if our generation, or any other after, would hear something so stirring.
We have.
But I'm also NOT going to entrust all my eggs with Bush, capable a leader though he has been thus far. God didn't annoint Bush... He simply gave we the people a chance to annoint him from our own, and there were a few omissions from his speech last night that were, from the long-term perspective, troubling (creating a new cabinet post in this capacity, for instance... where will that end?) The leadership of this country isn't with a few in Washington D.C., but among all of us.
We've all a responsibility. Have had the responsibility from God even for quite a long time. And we would do well to be cogent of that.

Thanks for the heads up. Best thing I've read since the towers fell. David Wilkerson, bless his heart! It figures he would come through and see this the way it is! Robertson and Falwell missed it altogether.
It is sad to see the idiotic replies on this thread. (Same old fools!) It's amazing that so many people who consider themselves enlightened could be so blind. They are dead toward God.

BTW, I'm not a Christian. I just think that the Christian religion is the religion that is more close to the truth (the good old line between Good and evil). Just wondering...........
how do you determine 'the truth'?
Stingray - this is a LOT more important than that endless Tarbaby - C vs E - that we USUALLY get caught up in!
I haven't left you guys, but I'm going to be away from the computer for a few days. Keep the faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
1. Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
2. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.
1 Timothy 6:12
12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Can't get into the book. Hope it makes a good movie.

These are not mr. wilkerson's first prophecies... plural. A follower of kathryn kuhlman, along with others, LOTS of weird stuff officially considered to be prophetically uttered, NOT fulfilled. And they whine when the Pope speaks with "authority" and then changes or adapts over time and experience. These folks are so wishy washy... sad. The God they claim to serve is not confused, why are they acting like HE is: could it be they aren't sure they heard from HIM to begin with? YES, indeed they are.
False prophets whom misrepresent God almighty, do our nation much harm. I am not sure that this fellow is a calling himself a prophet, but I think his pronouncements are in error.... and that consistantly.
In biblical israel... they had one song for false prophets..."We will, we will.... ROCK you!"
If these folks had ANY accuracy, we would be using them instead of AEGIS battle systems and satellites to detect incoming attacks and to direct our war movements.
Instead they make a laughingstock of all that is holy... and tell stories "through a glass darkly" in order to gain resources and influence over people, usually through irrational fear.
Sad that the "gospel" of Christ has come down to this very low level.
To: peg the prophet
True prophets are in the Word of God, all of it, Old and New Testament, and in the pulpits, and in the congregation, paying heedful attention, yes calling the people to repentance, but also instructing them in the Word of God, each and every day, and setting the example in living holy lives. They rely on God's Word and prayer, true communication with the Lord, not the blatherings of everyone who sees an omen in their digital clocks at the time they wake up in the morning. Then when trying times are upon us, they are the lights in the darkness. Also they don't hate the people that they are sent to, they love them, and that is why I say, God bless America! The words prophet and prophecy do have certain assigned meanings.
If you are a prophet, do you predict the future infallibly and without exception?
Do you speak for God infallibly?
To: hope
It was too long to read, besides, that's what people do best.

"Every ruler, every desk spot,..." Ummmm. What's a 'desk spot'?

If these folks had ANY accuracy, we would be using them instead of AEGIS battle systems and satellites to detect incoming attacks and to direct our war movements. I wonder if Wilkerson is using this for fundraising purposes before the "prophecy" falls flat on October 11. Wouldn't surprise me. It's too bad really. I actually like a few of his sermons. I don't know why that isn't good enough for a minister, just to teach the Word as a faithful servant.

Ummmm. What's a 'desk spot'? It what Bubba left behind in the Oval Office when he missed Monica's blue dress.
To: Milosevic2
Please don't try to put words in my mouth. Your over simplistic post is what I totally disagee with.
You aren't a Christian, but you took it upon yourself to tell me , a Chriastian what my religon really means ? LOL
This is beyond silly.
To: longshadow
"It's what Bubba left behind..." Oh, that's good. Very, very good. =;^D
To: hope
... forget politics right now and lets lay hold of God ... What the hell does "lay hold of God" mean? If he means turn to God or pray to God ... say it. As a Christian, I find this ranting offensive. Diarrhea of the mouth ...
