No, that's not her problem. She just saw her chances of running for President in 3 years blown to HELL!

In a press conference with Mayor Rudy Giulani and Gov. Pataki after GWB's speech, a reporter asked them what they thought of GWB's speech.

At the end of his reply, Mayor Giiulani thanked God George W. Bush was our President.

I stand by my opinion the other night after the Letterman performance. I think Rather is sincere.

He is not a stupid man, and he realizes what danger we are in. And he is honest enough to admit to himself that he was wrong about President Bush. And he is ashamed.

You're right on the mark. Dan Rather has made a conversion. I listened to him on the Imus show Thursday morning and it was the first time I had respect for him. Although he's admittedly liberal in his views and on the O'Reily show interview he made no appologies. He's not a coward like some of the other liberal fools. I think Dan is genuine and certainly is not stupid.

His interview with Imus I thought was most interesting and his analysis of the situation right on the mark. There's still hope for some more liberals to come to the aid of our country.

Well, W. made me cry last night with the bit with the badge. So many policemen lost their lives rushing into those burning buildings or sticking to their posts as the buildings collapsed. Where do we find such men? I hope we can find many more.

AAron Brown,,I have been seeing him and liking him alot but didn't know his name, he never says it. Something about his manner, distant, a bit ironic, not a bit political is marvelous. He is the only person I will watch on Cnn,,I like him,,,

He does look like a broken man. All joking aside, hope he is well and healthy. His look concerned me tonight.

I have noticed the same thing. During one of his interviews about a month or so ago, while he was still defending BC, he said something about health not being something that anyone could take for granted, and that IF he was granted health. . . I thought then that Dan might not be well. I've been wondering if he knows something we do not and is looking back over his life and evaluating what things are important and what things are not.

"Sure, the cops and firemen deserved the longest of standing-o's.........but Bush knew that that wasn't what this speech was about."

I think you missed this part.

Your thoughts are the best comments on the speech I've yet read or heard on TV. I'll share one of my own. The reason that PIAPS hated the speech is not the potential disruption to her career but rather because GWB is eradicating the poison of Clintonism in Washington... the lies, corruption, deceit, games, charades and politics and personal destruction.

I think you missed this part.

No, I saw it, and I do share your frustration at Scumbag. (As most here well know.) I just did not find a comparison between Bush and Scumbag at that point. For example, I thought the President's short introduction of Mrs. Beamer (wife of hero on PA crash) was very appropriate and inspirational. So, given the courage he mentioned earlier, I expected him to introduce those two. He did not, but I still thought the speech was outstanding.

Who said I was talking about the rescue workers? You should just shut up. If you dont understand the context of my statement, thats your problem.

LOL! Dear Lord, I hope you didn't wet yourself typing that. What a sad little poster you are today. How dare I have an opinion that differs from yours!! :-D

Uh, no, your insecurities will not make me shut up. But I do thank you for your concern toward my lack of comprehension.

Every time I have watched O'Reilly within the last couple of weeks he has been an idiot with poor guests, democrats. I am not even looking anymore. I prefer Whoraldo or the dimwitted Larry King to O'Reilly. He has blown it big time with me.

Thanks. I believe that last night Clintonism, in the minds of those expect the double dose Kool-Aide drinkers, has been mortally wounded. George Bush is a fairly regular guy. He is not brilliant but he is steady and purposeful. He stands in wonderful contrast to the criminal who led our nation for eight agonizing years.

Yeah, it WAS a great speech. Glad you could tell that I wasn't, in any way or by any stretch of the imagination, diminishing the accomplishments of those guys/gals involved in the rescue effort. Far from it. It's a matter of style. Clinton's "Rogues Gallery" was a constant source of embarrassment, and I was glad to see that Bush gave only two............but two highly appropriate...........acknowledgements to the people in the gallery (Blair, Mrs. Beamer). Sure, the cops/firemen would have deserved the same........but I can assure you that they didn't feel slighted in the least. Frankly, just being invited to sit in that assembly.......IN that gallery.......is now returned to its previous status: an honor unto itself. Their presence was one helluva "thank you" to them, IMHO.

Chris Matthews and Brain Williams went on and on...they both thought it was one of the best speeches ever.

Williams had a presidential historian on Hugh Spiky and he thought that Bush made one of the best speeches ever. He said this toughness of Bush comes from his west texas background. He said presidents are NOT remembered for a good economy, but the ones that are remembered are the presidents during a major crisis, like Bush.

I could not believe what I was hearing out of the eastern elite guys. Fienman(sp) also went on and on with both Matthews and Williams. He could not say enough of the greatness of Bush.

My mouth hit the floor many times as I listened. Bush won over both parties here in Texas, everyone said that it would NEVER happen in DC....well folks Bush won them over...to the shock of all of us.

Congratulations President Bush you've showed them all (even if it was through a horrible turn of events).

Today I heard a number of liberal left, say that most everyone is saying in the liberal crowd, they are all now glad the way the election turned out.
