Speaking of the past, here's something I dug up from 1939, courtesy of Eugene Lyons'
The Red Decade. What it consists of is the story of a bunch of dolts that were too spineless to switch from Stalinism when King Josef treated them like peasants by humiliating them publicly by his actions.
These peasants have been taking it out on us since. When King Josef put them in their place, they immediately decided to dispace it by calling healthy American patriots "Nazis."
It's been quite a peasant savoranala since 1939. Here's the excerpt, and a picture:
THE LAST LOONY SCENE...
...Two dates with an interval of only nine days between them compass the lunacy.
- August 14, 1939: Some four hundred Americans, among them important figures in education, the arts, sciences and religion, issues a long Open Letter branding as fascists and reactionaries all those who dared suggest the fantasitc falsehood that the U.S.S.R. and the totalitarian states are basically alike. The letter in particular castigated the Committee for Cultural Freedom, formed some months earlier, for including Russia among the totalitarian nations that suppress cultural independence and deny civil freedoms.
- August 23, 1939: Both Berlin and Moscow made it known that their respective dictatorships had entered into a pact of friendship, non-aggression and mutual economic aid the pact which was the signal for the Second World War....
