"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Samuel Adams

Although I myself am not American, if called I shall offer my life for liberty. Anyone know if it is possible to enlist in the U.S. military on a Visa?

I think you need a green card first but their were several Canadians, some Jamaicans, one Haitian, and one South African in my company in the 504th PIR so it's worth talking to a recruiter about it. Rules about what kind of visa you need can be changed at the stroke of a pen and it seems like it was possible to get a waiver for just about anything. They might want to make you fill out a lot of forms just to make sure you're serious.

My granfather (born in Greece) earned his American citizenship by serving in the U.S. Army. He earned it the hard way. He saw combat in WWI, and received a Purple Heart.

Also, the Canadians listed on the Vietnam Memorial total in excess of 1000 I am told.

If you are serious, call a recruiting station near where you live (what -- 75% of Canada's population is within a hour's drive of the US border), and tell them what you want to do. They can answer all of your questions for you. I suspect they will tell you to drive across the border, and sign up.
