I think I was trying to explain (to myself, at least) why I feel that the fate of this country is my personal responsibility and why I think, under certain conditions, it may be best for me to show it some "tough love" by walking away from it. Not that anyone else in this country, or this forum, cares what one more nobody thinks about any of this.

I apologize again for the lack of logic in my posts. You are very kind. I've been loosing sleep over this thing and it may have driven me a little around the bend. In 20 years everyone in America will be a "minority". I think that's good. I am sick of hearing about American culture and how the pollution of American culture is responsible for Tuesday. If we still enjoyed the american culture of Revolutionary times we would start the day with a pint of hard cider and loose all of our teeth before we turned forty.

Wait until they are drafted and sent to the Egyptian Front, or the house to house Battle Of Bagdad.

I wonder which side they will fight for. It should be clear to most people on the planet that this will be a war in which neutrality will be impossible.

Stay well - stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown

I will go to prison before I support any more totalitarian enactments and I will leave before I go to prison.

Your animus toward your country is noted. Do as you wish. Be sure to take your 'family honor' with you.

And many people on this forum like to accuse new immigrants of being ungrateful and unpatriotic.

Some people just have to learn from their own experience, I guess. I wonder if they'd be that cool about it if the people who did last week's attacks had picked the Transamerica Pyramid,or the BofA Building, or downtown Oakland.

Wonderful poem, by the way. Some of my fraternity brothers took up both and are in the services now. One of them is an Air Force officer assigned to the Pentagon, and was working there Tuesday (away from the crash area, thankfully, and he's now back at work).

You posted, "Or shoot, let them exchange places with those poor immigrants that come over hidden in boats from China. I can't believe Chinese men and women, risking their lives and some their life's savings, would ever want to leave such a state as China where the government takes care of one so well< /sarcasm>"

Absolutely, I have had this recurring dream of loading up these boats that bring these poor Chinese people over with the commie loving left wingers like these teenage clymers and their parents. Then sending them back to China! On the East Coast send them all to Fidel!

"In all honesty, I think that the Midwest is one of the best places to raise one's kids".

How would you know? Have you also raised kids in the South? Have you raised kids in the Northeast? The East?. Have you also raised kids in the Southwest? The Northwest?

I light of what has occured recently, we are all Americans, so in all honesty to you beckie, I think America is one of the best places to raise one's kids.

Thanks for your input...I agree with you, I have never and would never say that America is not the best place to raise one's kids, because it is. I just love where I live that's all and judging from your response, you do too.
