That was a theological statement..I suggested that you go to the source for the answer..a source used by Christians and Jews.
Interesting that you would rather think that God has so little interest and so little love for this nation that He would let Satan kill 5,000 "innocent "people and do nothing to intervene
Yet you find it hard to believe that God could have caused it or allowed it to bring you to your knees..
Eithor way God is involved..
Your anger isnt at me..it is at the truth that your heart knows..this nation is going to be judged by God for its sin..you know that..you dont want to believe it but you know it..so you yell at me..
Who am I ?Just a grandma that loves this country and like Rachael weeps for its children
So God smashed the little children on the airplanes to a horrible flaming death, to bring America to it's knees?
And you worship this God?
You call him good?
I understood the God of Abraham to be a loving God.
Maybe you misunderstand your God. Is that possible?
Yet you find it hard to believe that God could have caused it or allowed it to bring you to your knees..
So did God cause it, or did Satan cause it?
Your statements above make no sense.
Our nation has been blessed tremendously by God, and we have squandered that blessing. I have been a member of Free Republic for quite some time now, and every day people in this forum are decrying the fallen state of America. Granted, they speak in secular terms about the loss of liberty, the squandering of our Consititutional rights, the immorality of Hollywood, and on an on. Yet these same people find it impossible to accept that God, the giver of these rights, would judge this nation for its sins.
Is it possible that God would use Islamic fundamentalists as an instrument of His judgment? All I can say is that the Bible plainly states that God used the Philistines as an instrument of his judgment against ancient Israel, and the Philistines were into human sacrifice for Pete's sake! We are all heartsick over the tragedies that occurred last week. We mourn with the rest of the nation. Who knows if there was an element of God's judgment in all of this? No one can say with certainty. But it does seem plausible.
