I'm sure the pilot pushed the stick forward for full thrust and maximum impact just prior to impact.

I don't think so. The photo I have seen just before impact shows the wings deflected way up as if it were pulling about 3 or 4 G's. That's a pull up, not a push over.

Sorry, I'm not a pilot so I don't know the lingo. What I meant to say was that I believe he was probably maximizing the thrust of the engines. This would put a moment on them due to the accelerating turbine rotor so that they would turn out as I thought I saw them do prior to impact. The attitude adjustment with the "stick" may indeed be as you say.

Right on, he almost missed the building and banked and pulled hard at the last few seconds to hit it.

No............and if the wings were "deflected way up" (i.e. flexing upward), that would imply significant negative G's. No, the plane was cranking a fairly hard turn, I'm guessing less than, or around, 2 G's IF he was on altitude. It takes 2 G's with any aircraft in the world to maintain level flight at 60 degrees of bank. I am not sure if the pilot was flying level with the impact point , but I assume he was close to the "desired" altitude. However, he was clearly banking to better center-punch the building (and still didn't........but it's a moot point, 'cause the bastard took the building down, anyway).
