I normally hate these "nothing follows" type posts. But this headline (which will soon link to a story) intrigues me. For I too remember seeing a strange object hurtling towards the ground just after the second plane it. At the time, I didn't think anything of it. I thought it might be a defect in the film or something.

Part of the landing gear hit a woman on the ground....luckily she lived but was severely injured.

The Cincinnati Enquirer had a reader's letter describing the "face of a monster, Jesus crucified, and angel's wings" in the smoke cloud. I guess if you *REALLY* used your imagination and looked long enough...

They found a large portion of the cockpit on the roof of a near by building. The body of the terrorist pilot was with it. I don't remember were I saw or read this. They knew it was one of the highjackers because he was in civilian cloths.

Looks like some projectile...the photo is trying to show a different trajectory than the plane...

I heard they found part of the cockpit on top of the Marriott..........think that could be what it was?

Drudge always seems to super-hype the web site before his Sunday night Radio show...

Face it, Matt has a problem. We now have a President who doesn't let young female interns under his desk in the Oval Office.

And he uses the small "bathroom" off the Oval Office for uses for which it was intended.

I agree..the trajectory is shown by the red line..the first thing I thought was that it was a missle of some sort..after the fact.

OK Matt, I'll bite....it looks as though it is some kind of missile designed to bring the passenger plane down.....I ahte it when Drudge does this. The graphics on his website are crappy and in this kind of environment, so is his style!!!

I agree with others. That plane went through the building with such velocity that it could be just about anything. Probably a piece of the plane or maybe a hard and heavy object like a safe that was ejected forcefully from the building.

Well if it is indeed flying and it is unidentified then your right (smile)...it is an unidentified flying object!

It seems to be too far from the impact to be part of the jet...but the picture is crude and the objects position is hard to truly define with that red line drawn to it.

Perhaps a lot of folks should go out to their local supermarket tomorrow morning and replenish their stock of tin-foil. Sounds to me like some stocks have been depleted.
