I don't know what religion nationality your friends are. But I'll bet you'd be screeming like a pig if people made a target out of you because America was at war with people of your same religion or nationality.

Since none of my nationality or religion has committed Mass Murder recently or ever, that is unlikely.

But if they did, I would not 'cop an attitude' if stopped, and I assure you if the Mass Murder involved fellow Americans, I would immediately offer to help catch the killers by whatever means are at my disposal.
I would not wait until my loyalty was questioned.
