I'm afraid that this horrendous attack against OUR Country will result in significant and Permanent erosion of our basic liberties. A quick look at our history will show you that once a freedom is lost, it's gone forever. I'm 100% in favor of finding and punishing the evil people who did this. Shredding the Bill of Rights will neither bring back the dead nor punish the evil people behind this act. In the long run if we loose our liberties the terrorist will have won. I can't understand why more people can't or won't see this?

But we are at war, and this enemy knows no borders. It is a war based on ideology, and ideology can slither anywhere undetected. It wears no uniform. It sees no difference between civilian and military. It will be a long war, waged long after President Bush is retired, but I hope and pray our smartest minds can get together to eradicate this scourge. Stop whining about your supposed fears of gonna-be's and your might-be's and focus on what is. Sheesh.
