Pray that our freedoms survive this? Our nation was birthed and grew to adulthood in the midst of a cloud of prayers offered in courthouses, legislatures, schools, and other public buildings the length and breadth of this great land. Prayer has been hounded and chased from the public arena just over the past 60 years or so, coincident with the rise of abortion, feminism, fell-good liberalism, and moral relativism. Larry Flynt, not John Adams, is considered an American hero by the gang that chased prayer away.
If the early American model of Church-state relations post 1789 was an "American Taliban," I am all for it. I'm sick of this faithless, post-modern, pro-pornography, pro-porn, pro-sodomy, pro-abortion, anti-religion sewer.
Have you told a sinner that you and Jesus love them today? If you are tired of the sewer, clean it up one soul at a time.
Consider: How many people did Saul save from eternal torment while he was a Pharisee? How many later? After he "took up his cross", endured the long litany of abuses in Romans Ch. 8, and as a learned man "preached the foolishess" of the Resurrected Christ in I Corinthians.
Correct me if I am wrong, but is'nt the Great Commission to MAKE disciples of all the nations? Sometimes I wonder if a translation of the Bible I have not read yet quotes our lord as saying "Denounce hatefully all those that are not yet my followers in all the nations" in Matthew 28: 18-20.
Start in your own churches. Is a marriage collapsing? Open you home to one of the people and show them what a good marriage looks like. A new Believer, single lady has an unwanted pregnancy? Adopt the baby. Teenagers in your congregation or around your children running wild? Open your home to your child's friends. Listen to them. Let them see what a Godly family looks like.
We are ambassadors of the Prince of Peace, not the Lord of Condemnation. Increase His territory. Start in your church. Then work on your block. Your neighborhood. Your city.

See the people spit on our bibles (or us sometimes), laugh in our faces, argue with us, and mock G-d. See how incensed they get when we thank them for their curses, bless them when we are being spit at, and continue preaching our "religious crap".
I too am weary of the world and the iniquity in it. But the only difference between me and the foulest sinner in G-d's eyes is that I have accepted his indescribable gift of grace and redemption.
