Thanks for that perspective, which coincides with a thought I've had since Tuesday. During the campaign and since Inaugaration, President Bush promised a new tone in Washington. Civility, working together across party lines to solve America's problems. He's been above the ugliness of democrats in congress, and for months, I have silently cringed as President Bush was true to his promise. He turned the other cheek to insulting innuendo from political opponents. He ignored personal slights from the mainstream media elite, he remained gracious, and above responding in kind when congressional democrats tried to sabotage his programs and ridicule his philosophy.

Thank God President Bush is a bigger man than me. If he had spent the last 9 months, (as I would have done), getting payback, our government would not have been ready to meet this challenge.

No one could possibly mock the the intellect and wisdom of President Bush. The bipartisan goals he set for his administration will make victory possible.

We should not tolerate racial and ethnic hatred, race baiting rhetoric, and religious discrimination. Whether it comes from democrats, or from those on our own side, it's evil ugliness will rip our country apart.

Girlfriend, did you see Gary Condit at the memorial service yesterday? How obvious it seemed to me, that he was using that solemn occasion as his 'coming out of hiding' party.

You are totally correct...I teach in the NYC public schools--in Brooklyn...we all saw the ash falling outside our windows on Tuesday...students thought it was snow...we returned to school on Thursday and our principal explained to the student body that we were all Americans (diversity is out) and we needed to stick together and put our trust in Bush and Guiliani (BTW she's a Democrat)...on Friday she told the assembly that our president had called for a national day of mourning and rememberance and that we should all pray for the victims and their families, the rescuers, our country, and our leaders (God is back)...most of the Democrats I've spoken to are glad that GW is in charge (algore is toast)...two black Americans in my building told me yesterday that they love Bush now and would vote Republican next time around (racial divisions go bye-bye)...Charlie Rangel who has been whining about GW's illegal presidential victory was last seen trailing behind him like a chastened puppy at Ground Zero yesterday (demagogues silenced)...the images of real men doing real physical work to protect us has replaced for at least a generation the images of the psuedo-intellectuals of the left who keep whining and whinging about trivial issues like gay rights or endangered species (heroism in the form of physical courage is making a comeback and most of the firefighters and cops are white ethnic Catholics--no more white male hatred)...even the Americans in the blue zone now realize that their butts are on the line (some wars are just)...they want strong masculine backs and shoulders to take care of business and keep them out of harms' way...those people lying in pieces in the rubble of NYC, Washington, and the woods of Pennsylvania have shed their blood in the cause of freedom and civilization...BTW I guess Reverend Al's presidential bid just flew out the window.
