I don't know. I think in some ways, events like these anaesthetize (sp?) people to integrating God into their life. God becomes a security blanket when there's a crisis, a nightlight when the power's out. But as for the rest of the time, God's just ..... nothing.

I watched Carson Daly (of MTV) chatting with the lead singer of the quite positive and popular P.O.D. about the events of the past few days on his show TRL. And Carson could do the Godspeak, "God bless you, Sonny" etc.... But what does that mean come two months from now when this is starting to fade in collective psyches? Probably not a lot... Just some drive-by thoughts, fwiw
