Thanks kayak for this picture of Pres. Bush and his Dad. There is such love and respect between those two men. I saw this when I watched the memorial service yesterday, and I was so touched. It was his Daddy's subtle way of saying "You done good!"

Thanks for the reports of the candlelight vigils. I don't know if this is something that can be done by many - but around here everyone puts electric candles in their windows at Christmas. Last night, I put a single electric candle in an upstairs window - with a small American flag next to it (not close enough to be a fire hazard). I plan to keep this single electric candle "lit" (plugged in) during this entire time of crisis - war.

He gives me such strength and I just thank all of you at FreeRepublic who mortalize everything that is good and right with this country. My brother,his family and some friends,did a candle light prayer service in Detroit friday. He reported other groups doing the same. I was surprised when my 14 year old niece commented to me that she couldn't tear herself away from the tv......watching news!
