Believe nothing you hear, a wave of BS is coming from the news reporters.

I don't see how anyone could know this. It's unlikely they can get past the rubble to anywhere near the vaults, assuming they even exist.

It was a Bruce Willis movie. Now it's Osama bin Laden's turn to "Die Hard". . .

We are deluged with bad information.
We've had major losses and every little rumor floated is being taken seriously.
Most haven't been verified.
There is more garbage than facts right now.
Take a deep breath.
Pray.
Mourn.
These are the things that must be done to secure our future and win the day.
Fervent prayer.
No more wagging the dog, we need to give ourselves time to prepare an effective, long term responce.
Cold, deliberate, rational thought.
Careful planning.
Vigorous execution.

That's not where our gold is kept (as far as I know it's not where any gold is kept). The basements of the WTC were all storage and subways nothing else. The real Gold depository is in an area not affected, and besides there would be no way to move it at this time without going through military check points. Downtown is sealed off and Niel should know better. I really wish Fox who I love would get someone who knoew the A$$ from a hole in the ground as a business reporter.

The gold reserves under the Federal Reserve building are at least 1/4 mile from the World Trade Towers. There is no good reason to believe that security at that site has been breached.

Excellent! That means they are done with all the excavation, and have reached the vaults underneath the twin towers! Amazingly quick and effective!
Not.

3000 troy ounces missing.

I read somewhere yesterday that COMEX had a vault with $100 million in gold in the basement. Maybe B.S.--I'm just passing it along.

Rube, you really picked the right name. Any scene from the site shows debris stacked above ground level, NY television said last night that there was 75 feet of debris. Evacuees from WTC reported two feet of water in the lobby before the collapse (I personnally heard from a former co-worker who left the 29th floor.) Who cleared it all out to go into a flooded basement?

I don't think there is any gold or silver missing.
However, maybe some tin foil is missing.
