If we hadn't gone to help the french in 1917 the germans would have won the war and there wouldn't have been a second war and the U.S. of A. would still be a constitutional federal republic. As early as 1915 the germans, sickened by the sight of all that french blood, proposed an immediate cease fire and a return to the borders of 1914 but french pride wouldn't stand for that while they still had colonial troops to be slaughtered and so long as the americans were willing to die for "Marianne". But all of that was a long time ago. Right now I think they just really don't want to deal with terrorist nukes and genetically modified bugs released by crazed algerians. Can you blame them? I think we can clean those muslim clocks right good but it's not a sure thing that in a few years the WTC horror won't look like the good old days. We are at war. We will win. Before we win things could get very bad and we may come to regret what we've done. If we don't go to war our troubles may be compounded 10 or 20 years from now. God help us all.
