I've got one thing to say to the French: I'd eat a crow before I'd eat a snail.

The Frenchies have their white surrender towels out early, even before they know who the enemy is.

,,, simple - as the Tomahawks connect with scungy rathole cities, make an international statement along the lines that it has nothing to do with revenge and retribution, just fighting and breaking international terror. Gotta love that German precision!

Lionel Jospin, the French Prime Minister, said the Americans should be "reasonable" in their response. Alain Richard, his defence minister, said the attacks were "not acts of war".

I'm violating one of my cardinal FRules - read the replies first.

Instead, I didn't read past this DISGUSTING sentence.

NOT ACTS OF WAR, lionel jospin?????? What would be your reaction had it been the Eiffel Tower blown up? Reasonable response???? Have a little brie and wine to discuss it first?

Thank Heaven, France is the last place I'd ever visit. I'd sooner travel in Afghanistan.

The French.....Just like our liberals.....want to dialogue with people who could give a rat's a** about talking. Let them dialogue with our liberals while we take care of business.

The surprise of this war will be that Russia will be an important ally. Why? They will benefit greatly by fighting with the American military. They will receive capital to develop their gas and oil reserves. They will end with a sphere of influence containing Afghanistan. They won't be hassled about Chechnya. The Serbs will get Kosovo back.

Don't worry, my dear French fairies. We won't be too belligerent (if you don't call tearing off their heads and sh*tting down their necks "belligerent.")

There are two sides in the world: the civilized world, and the uncivilized world.

We're the civilized world.

Choose wisely, France.

Just like the French to go wet! Our coming to their rescue in 1917 was payback Lafayette, we are here!. That made us quits. The froggies owe us for World War II and they serve us this SH*T? Unleash Chaing Kai Shek on them or something. They're afraid of the arabs in their midst? After their cowardly retreat in Algeria, they should be! It's time to leave Europe to the Europeans.

That loud slamming sound heard after the French government began its equivocation about support to American was the sound of the hideaway door slamming shut after its (the French) gonads were retracted into their secret hiding place.

France calls for American 'reason'

Vous Americains, again you do it! You do not grasp the subtlety and nuance of the French language. The French term raison (pronounced "raisin") is perhaps best translated as "abject surrender" or more properly "humiliating capitulation".

"America's made a real mistake in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which was to train the Taliban," M Kouchner said.

Guess we weren't the only ones that knew what Clinton was up to.
