A good parallel is Japanese-Americans in World War Ii. We imprisoned all that lived on the west coast. But no Japanese American proved disloyal and they provided us with our most-decorated regiment. From what I have seen of American Muslim, they equally appreciate the better life here and are anxious to prove their loyalty, and to extend the blessings of liberty to their posterity. A similiar parallel as far as religion goes has been the attitude of many as late as fifty years ago toward American Catholics as "the legions of the Pope." How quaint and antique that now sounds!

"A good parallel is Japanese-Americans in World War Ii. We imprisoned all that lived on the west coast. But no Japanese American proved disloyal..."Could that have been because they were all imprisoned?

From what I have seen of American Muslim, they equally appreciate the better life here and are anxious to prove their loyalty, and to extend the blessings of liberty to their posterity. It is quite obvious that the some in the muslim-American community have harbored and assisted the terrorists. As non-hyphenated Americans, how do we coexist with these people knowing that fact? Do we just ignore the fact that islam and American culture are opposite and unequal? Hyphenated Americans exist only because something in their culture / religion impinges on American fundamentals and it is they who seek our tolerance. I now say we should no longer be tolerant to those who would use our society against us.

"But no Japanese American proved disloyal ..."Of course they didn't - because we rounded them up and stored them away where we could keep our eyes on them!
Surely you're not trying to suggest that there were no Japanese spies in this country prior to World War Two?
