That's realy STUPID! As an American Catholic, if the Church promoted such a thing, I would no longer be a Catholic. There would no longer be a Catholic Church in America. I would consider any Catholic that went along with it my enemy.
I would expect no different from Muslems.
Atheists believe we all follow blindly whatever the church says. They haven't a clue.
