I just heard some big prop driven military planes go over my house here in Mobile. My guess is that they are out of the Pensacola Naval Air station which is about 40-50 miles away. We don't use prop driven tankers anymore do we? Maybe cargo planes?

"And you would have President Bush flying back in Air Force One, into potentially hostile air space, to sit in a building that we now see was most likely a target of the attack? Are you freaking insane or just so biased that you act insane?"" Yup. No-one knew for sure that we were not under an ABC attack. (ABC=Atomic, Biological, Chemical)

Yeah.... well there are always other options for King Billy .... such as a slow boat FROM China. Heaven knows they owe him at least one ride.

"...find the folks who did this..."This is how gentlemen speak. Not one myself, but I recognize a gentleman when I hear him. Robert E. Lee was one. He never referred to the enemy in anything but polite terms, eg. "We must move those people off that hill."
"...he gave the appearance of hiding."
Did you know that one of the presidents you cite as a great leader had to hide just to reach Washington for his first inaugural? He took a different train on a different schedule than the one that had been announced. He wore an elaborate disguise which included a kilt, and he arrived late at night. That was in 1861. He then repeatedly failed to defeat the enemy in his own backyard for more than two years, sending out one incompetent general after another and sustaining outrageous casualties. Even he admitted that he couldn't possibly win re-election. Then Grant handed him Vicksburg, and Lee handed him Gettysburg. Some guys have all the luck.

Deepak Chopra and his battalions of New Age *ssh*les--nothing matters to them--as long as they have self-esteem.

Yesterday, Howard Finneman mentioned on MSNBC that after the Senate was evacuated, 70 Senators were penned at a nearby police station. Around 5:00 pm, a shouting/shoving ensued and they started calling Administration officials demanding that Bush get back to Washington. Bush had already decided to return by this time.Oh, see there.......you prove my point about not knowing what you're talking about. If you had KEPT watching, you would have seen Finneman TAKE THAT WHOLE STATEMENT back later on that very evening.
And, just so everybody will KNOW you don't know what you are talking about, they were NOT at a police station.....they were at a hotel......and don't try to refute me......I KNOW SOMEBODY WHO WAS WITH THEM.

Tankers going to classified location? My son is in the AF and works with them. He was told yesterday to pack a bag when he went on his shift just in case. Are you in Kansas?
To: Howlin, Arcadia
I was on the scene and saw many Senators heading the other direction from the police station and even a few driving their cars away from the Capitol. Fineman was wrong on this one. Local TV said later that fewer than a dozen Senators were in the station. It is across the street from the Dirksen Building and is a logical place for Senators to go for information and safety.

As far as not posting since 1998, thanks--by your silence you helped lift up the quality of the posts which did appear.
You take the word of chickensh*t Liberal Howard Fineman, William Safire-(No Conservative by any normal standard--just a beltway sucknuts at the NYT), and a bunch of whining demo-shit senators--anonymous of course, like the other anti-American terrorists who wanted to kill our President--ie. your buttmasters Peter Jennings. shit-Laden and their friends--
It might occur to you to get back to reality but---nah, forget it. You like being had by the boys too much to change now.
To: Dems_R_Losers
My nephew, an aide to a senator, called ME from a hotel bar.......LOL.
Fineman changed his story later on that night. Fawning all over Bush.

Please don't get mad, forget it, you're nitpicking and this is no time to be nitpicking. HIding, I'm glad to hear he took precautions. I for one, thought it was irresponsible of the media to be saying where the president was headed. Did you think it was cowardly of members of congress to take cover, probably not. As for his speech, what did you want him to say, that we'd go and bomb every arab country, well, that's not the way this country operates, so get over it. Sounds like you wanted the president to jump to conclusions as to what happened, first you get all the facts before making strong statements. This is not the time to be critical of what the president is doing, there are bigger issues to worry about than whether the president's speech was not to your liking.
