Just asking: What would constitute winning this war? Killing Bin Laden and the people that support, assist and shelter him? Killing everyone in Afganistan? Killing all Muslims over seas? Killing all Muslims the word over? Maybe it might help to identify the goal and work backwards from there.

I seem to remember we installed military governments in the defeated Axis power nations for many years.

Don't know for sure. I'm thinking at the tactical level. Strategy is better left for people smarter than me.

But it must be made clear to anyone who might think of supporting these people that they will pay a huge price.
