To: The Shootist
As soon as those who really call the shots start to lose money we will declare all is forgiven and it will be business as usual. That is the reality. Don't like it but have to live with it.

Whether you are right or not the affect is the same.

I'll go this far out on the limb. The government will sooth the injured, make threatening gestures, drop some bombs and fire some cruise missles, make threatening gestures, drop some bombs right before the election, prolong it through the next election, and then let it quietly move to the back burner where the people are soon to forget. Curiously the Democrats say nothing.

Now before I'm flamed, here is what first came to my mind as a response. The Congress gives the President a Declaration of War, the President announces to the world that any country harboring terrorists have 24 hours to give them up or face having their country annihilated, then occupied by a military governership.

Doing this a couple of times will help deter further aggression, eh?
