Tom Brokaw - what a slimy little worm. Can you imagine be on one of those planes, knowing that you couldn't do a damn thing while the perps cooly made the decision to kill the thousands in the buildings in front of your plane?

I guess the strict prohibition against weapons on commercial flights has proved to be the same horsepoop as the insane gun laws in the big cities - a total lie, and totally useless.

Time to go to Israeli carry codes.

Brokaw was calling for government censorship of the Internet over one year ago, under the pretext of shutting down neo-Nazi groups. I think he was more concerned with organizations like FR, which have for years shown up him and his fellow anchors as propagandists. He has always been freedom's ardent foe.

Kinda adds credence to the topic of this thread, eh? Of course what would you expect from a confirmed Leftist who'd trade anyything for government "security". He should be run back to Canada on a rail.

Yes it makes perfect sense to me.,"Tom Brokow on NBC just a few minutes ago..."we'll have to revisit the freedoms we have"."

The lack of curfews, internal passports (halt- show papers) civilian gun ownership, and above all the remaining shreds of due process limitations on the police are what caused this horrible attack. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that there are evil people in the world, and that roughly a fifth of the world's population refers to the US as "The Great Satan" I'm sure that giving up internal freedom (as implied by certain idiots in this thread) will make all of these people love us

Revisit them in a museum, perhaps.

Remember how Clinton and the left tried to use the OKC bombing as an excuse to smear talk radio, Rush Limbaugh, conservatives, and "anti-government" types in general? They blamed us for the bombing. Now some here on this site are blaming anyone who does not like our foreign policy vis-a-vis Israel and the Middle East for this latest tragedy. Now may not be the time for people to realize this, but horrible as it is, todays events were inevitable. We have been bombing and killing civilians with impunity for almost 60 years, and today we received back a very tiny portion of what we have been dishing out to others. This in no way excuses the crimes that occurred today, it is a simple observation of fact: as ye sow, so shall ye reap.

Instead of drawing the proper conclusions, however, and restoring our long dead traditions of neutrality advocated by our Founding Fathers, we will continue on our way towards Imperial overstretch and eventual collapse. Instead of restoring Constitutional liberties, we will continue on our long slow slide towards a police state.

But we hesitate to say this for fear of being blamed as somehow sympathizing with the monsters who have today murdered so many of our fellow citizens. We don't sympathize with the murderers, we sympathize with our poor deluded fellow citizens, who, hopefully, will not have to pay with any more lives for the inevitable repercussions of our ruling elite's obsessive imperial politics.

Please, before you call someone who disagrees with you a sympathizer with terrorists and murderers, think about what you are saying. We can surely disagree with each other about politics without descending into the gutter.
