If they can't keep a few crazies armed with knives from shutting down the entire country then what the hell use are they? Providing for the providing for the common defense is the main reason we have a federal government and interstate flights with paying passengers are clearly engaged in interstate commerce; but sky marshalls aren't sexy like busting dope growers in California or blasting old hippies in Michigan. The reason Switzerland doesn't have these problems is that they are armed to the teeth, decentralized as anything, don't try to save the world, and don't set up big juicy targets for dangerously deranged products of a devil worship cult. If it were up to me, right now, I would nuke every site holy to the muslims, Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem would be glass. I think I must be a little angry but congress is so busy worrying about little Jimmy getting drunk at a frat party or whether or not Suzy has any condoms that they never seem to find the cash to deal with the stuff they're responsible for according to the constitution. Perhaps it's time for a constitutional convention to hash out exactly why the federal government exists.
