My apologies to the innocent victims of today's cowardly attack on our free republic, but I believe there are some questions we need to be asking ourselves right now---

When the smoke clears, and retribution is exacted, will the United States of America ever be the same?

Or will this be the perfect cover for those who would destroy what remains of our personal freedom as Americans?

Out of of fear, will the sheeple cry for even more restraints on our liberty than have already been exacted, and welcome tyranny with open arms?

I believe these are all very important questions to begin to consider on this Black Tuesday.

I hope and pray that in the days ahead, Free Republic will be a center of opposition to that move against the Bill of Rights which is almost surely to come.

Regrettably, yes. The sheeple will choose safety (or the illusion thereof) over freedom - they've been conditioned to behave this way, and the conditioning has had an effect as seen in far less grim circumstances over the years.

I hope and pray that I'm wrong, but I fear not. G-d save our Republic.

My father believes the same - but his scenario is further control of the sheeple. I remain hopeful that patriots will unite and even "rats" will begin to put our country first. Osama Bin Ladin may have helped execute - but "thinking China" is indeed astute. Where did all the $$$$$$$$$$$ come from? I was on my way to Seattle early this morning, then got smart and came back home. Big city centers are not safe right now. May God protect us.

If we don't keep our heads about us, we'll soon be living under martial law. We're already a borderline police state. If we're not very careful, this could easily be the kiss of death to American Liberty.

These terrorists greatest achievement would be to destroy the foundation of our nation, our freedom. This is a much greater target than any building, and it is worth more than a million lives lost. Calls for martial law, etc.. are playing right into their plan.

War is the heallth of the State. Clinton used the OKC bombing to push thru his anti-terrorism bill. Look for the current administration to follow his lead.
