Fox News is reporting that NYC emergency personnel are pleading for people to give blood today. NYC blood donation centers are apparently overwhelmed and need people from all over the country to donate. Blood can be kept for at least a couple of days and flown in when flights are allowed.

I was scheduled to donate blood here in Canada tomorrow. I will ring and see what the Canadian Blood services wants me to do.

I'd donate as much as possible, but I can't since I lived in Britain in 1979/1980 (the mad cow thing). Time to simply just "forget" about those trips and try anyway.
