If we apply Occam's Razor, isn't it much more likely that this "moderator" story is a total fabrication? Think about it. To the extent that potential disruptors believe Jim Robinson is backed up by an entire corps of round-the-clock moderators, they'll be much less likely to try anything than if they believe that FR is entirely dependent on one overworked person.
Training and supervising a bevy of moderators would involve a lot of additional work and entail some significant risk. But inventing a mysterious, secretive organization of moderators, whose most important characteristic is their total anonymity, involves very little work and zero risk, so long as disruptors can be conned into believing it.
Of course not all disruptors are stupid. Some might suspect the charade, were it not for posts such as this one which purportedly "expose" the scheme, but do so in a highly paranoid fashion that has the counter-effect of discrediting the whole idea.
Uh huh. Right. Same thing we hear the Bilderburgers, Opus Dei, the Illumanati and the Masonic conspiracy say.
We know. And we know they know we know.
