China will soon deploy its first road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missiles, a new long-range strategic weapon whose predicted range includes the western United States, The Washington Times has learned.

U.S. intelligence agencies detected the Chinese military's formation of the first missile units equipped with Dong Feng-31 missiles in July, and the Pentagon believes the first missiles will be fielded by the end of the year. Dong Feng means "East Wind" in Chinese.

What I do is work in an American medical school, and attempt to train resident physicians, both American and foreign, (many of whom are from India, BTW).

Your assertion that foreigners have some intellectual edge, is just laughable.

Comparing the medical skills of Americans and foreigners, especially those from India, is something that you would not want me to talk about.

You don't even want to go there.

It would really depress you, because they are neither smarter, nor are they too motivated to work.

The contempt for America comes through everything you have written thus far.

You started out by asserting that American students were not interested in working hard and/or not as intelligent or capable as foreigners in learning scientific or engineering subjects.

Which is a.)racist and b.)anti-American but most of all is

c.)wrong.

So why not stick by your argument, get what you want out of America, and go back home, dude?

I don't want people here who don't like America or Americans, and I really don't like foreigner-chickens who insinuate a lot of nasty things about America, but have no courage to admit it in plain terms.

Never said that foreigners (or Indians, or anybody else) have an intellectual edge. However, facts are obstinate things and here are some: Native born Indian Americans are 1% of the American student population but are 10% of the American medical school population, an overrepresentaion of 1000%.This is without affirmative action, etc. About 5% of the doctors in this country (at the present time, the numbers will grow in the future) are Indian while they comprise an overall population of 1%, an ovverepresentation of 500% Indians are ethnically the wealthiest group of any in this country (per capita). I could go on and on but I won't. I never, however, had contempt for the U.S. or Americans. I just give you facts and you assume that is contempt. As far as you not wanting me here, I may also feel the same thing about you, but, hey, I guess neither of us have much choice in the matter on that isssue. Ranting about such things will do no one any good. As I told you before, I want to be the $6million dollar man---(like Lee Majors!) if that happens then I'll analyze the situation at that time. You can't make this kind of money if you're in India so I've got to be here for a while. I told you before, if I leave it will be on my terms not yours. If I could make the kind of money there that I'm making here I would probably be there---but I can't so its a moot argument. Again, nothing I said was an insinuation or anything else. I gave facts that are easily verifiable, and facts are obstinate things. They won't go anywhere, no matter how you try to "spin" them out.

It takes a second to say goodbye say goodbye oh oh oh
Like a thief in the night
see the world by candlelight
say goodbye
where are you going tonight

they deployed the atomic bomb
you and your children sing along
push the button pull the plug
say goodbye oh oh oh
say it out loud
where are you going tonight?

China has the most efficient department of energy in the world. According to San Onofre Nuclear Power plant within the next ten years China will have over 1000 nuclear power plants. It seems that they've discovered a huge quantity of Uranium on their soil. The Chinese populous do not drive gas powered cars (in general) they ride bicycles. In the united states civilian nuclear power is highly restricted, and very inefficient. For example, the legal bills cost more money than the materials to build San Onofre, and because of the legislation and red tape Nuclear Power plants are not permitted to run at maximum efficiency. The military operates with far greater efficiency, and safety, but in general the costs of production in the United States are way higher than in Red China. China knows no such restrictions. Thus they can produce huge quantities of electricity, and run military assembly lines for much less than we do. This all happened within the last ten years or so, and in my opinion Bill Clinton had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Even worse. As they move forward in energy production, I expect them to surpass the United States in military might, and will eventually be the world's dominating superpower. The legal and political infrastructure in China is more efficient than in the United States, and in order to catch up to the momentum of the Chinese Military Economy the U.S. would restructure our entire way of life.

I toured San Onofre with U.S. Navy recruiter in March last year.

They can pass U.S. military might in numbers perhaps but they are way behind in technology. Their equipment (planes, ship tanks, etc) are inferior to the U.S. It would take them decades to catch up, and that is assuming the U.S. does nothing and lets them catch up, which they won't. The U.S. will try to stay way ahead and should succeed.

I disagree. Information is easily acquired these days. If they could be lacking good engineers, but as the military grows, so do parades, so does national pride, and with that a deeper passion to serve the state in the capacity of engineer. The Universities in China are very elite, I have heard, and they expand not just on the fronts of energy, economics, military, and propaganda, but also in the academic areas.

As we know nuclear energy is not very safe. Could there be a better motive to build a strong defense department?

Good points, but you are assuming quite a lot. For one, you are assuming that they will continue to be as efficient in those arenas and also that the government will maintain the control they have now; this is highly unlikely as the general populace gets tired of living in poverty as the government spends billions on the military. They are COMMUNISTS and will go by the wayside, or they will go down like all the rest. Furthermore, it would never get to that point. We won't let it happen.

For the Democrats to just flat out lie that we do not have a Chinese missle threat, is like saying that China is not communist. And we all know that our elected Democrat officials have their hands in communist Chinese money.

Ther're not lacking in good engineers and scientists. They are lacking in infrastructure and their overall equipment is poor. If you go to an elite Indian engineering college, for example, the equipment is worse than an average high school here. Thie problem affects all levels and Chinese and Indian society. That's why if you really want to do advanced work you still have to come here to do it. This can change, but it will take some time. China also was hurt by Mao's rule, especially the Cultural Revolution when educated people in general were abused and sometimes killed. They didn't make a steady move upward, they are doing it in jerks and succeeding but it still takes years to be anything like the US.

If Indians are so great, then why is India so backward and screwed up?

Why do millions of privileged Indians flee India (which is, BTW, filled with Indians) to come to America, if their countrymen in India are so much better than the Americans?

If Americans are as inferior to Indians as you seem to believe, then why is America so far superior to India in just about everything, except birthrate and amount of cow urine consumed per capita?

So far you have corroborated my ideas about Indians' reasons for being here (i.e., money only), and you have reinforced just about every negative impression I have had about persons from your country.

Good job.

I am glad, though, that our country is fair enough to allow even opportunists like you, to do well.

The generosity of Americans and America is truly great, even to the undeserving, such as yourself.

India is lousy because of overpopulation of the lower classes and corruption which are common problems for third world countries. Not all Indians try to leave, the really rich ones stay over there. My family was middle-class, needed money , and so many came here. U.S. is superior technologically (though India is catching up). However, as I said, much of that is due to immigrants anyway.Since we are in the mood for asking questions here are some of mine: If Americans have "family values" why is their divorce rate 50%? If Americans have "family values" why are they 5% of the world's population but consume 50% of illegal drugs. In this country they blame the dealers, but what about the users? India is a 3rd world country. Yet why does America have to go there to recruit (see previous posts) for its technical jobs? Indians may not be bright, , but they would'nt let themselves disappear from the Earth like like white Americans seem to want to do. Given the white American birthrate, about 1.84, they will be extinct after 300 years. The dinosaurs ruled the world too, but look what happened to them. As you grow older America will demographically change. It may not be the America you knew growing up and there will be little you can do about it. You claim you don'y really like Indians. Why should I care? Do you supply me with money or a job? No, so it dosn't really matter to me what you think, does it? So nice nice of you to stop telling me to leave, especially since you have no control over the situation. By the way, you used the word "coward" before. Yet you yourself hide behind a fake name, not revealing yourself just as I have done, so I guess our "cowardice" goes both ways? Actually, you had a problem with an earlier poster. You seem to have problems with a lot of people. You claim you train residents. Are you a doctor? If so, your thinking pattern is irrational. You attack people not ideas. I would have expected better from a doctor. You claim I am an opportunist. Sure I am. That's how a capitalist country works. If you feel more pariotic by waving a flag or whatever, do so, it's your business, just like what I do with my life is mine.

The person here is making a point about America, and many refuse to hear it. America is a great economic and military superpower, but you can't say much more about it. We have a long history of racism, and class oppression. Our military and economic power depends on the prison industrial complex. Everything here is geared up to out-produce the russians during the cold-war, and to hold on to our Ann Randian way of life. This cold, calculated military efficiency ignores family, culture, tradition, and any notion of the sacred.

I have been studying the history of Mathematics as a sociology. It is interesting that algebra was developed by an Arab named Osama Bin al Kurusami, and that Chemistry was also very advanced in Arabia prior to the rennaisance. The interesting and relevant point here is that when Islam spread throughout the middle east the Prophet deemed those studies to be detrimental to the overall society. Islam, and Confucianism are behavioral art forms which ignore and even discourage technological development because TECHNOLOGY COMPROMISES FAMILY. The rest of the world has choosen to put their families first. Think about it. If you spend 20 waking hours a week with your wife and children, when are you going to find the time or the motivation to develop nuclear weapons? And also consider...what do you truly love? Does one love his wife, children, community, and God, or does one prefer to "get off" on repaying enemies with overwhelming violence. I have been an American my whole life and my opinion is that technology is perverse, and that in America it is almost impossible to love.

Family values?

Like setting fire to your betrothed with cooking fuel because she doesn't have enough money?

Like ultrasounding your unborn daughter so you can abort her, for the crime of not being male?

Like creating a racist caste system wherein people are "untouchable" by accident of birth, even today in the Twenty-First Century?

Like worshipping cows?

I definitely don't need any lectures about morality from an Indian.

Let alone a microcephalic like you.

The United States is not anything like what you say.

If you are here, you know as well as I do that it is very fair, and nobody is cracking on you for being Indian.

We are considerate and fair to a fault, especially to minorities who bad-mouth us and then cry when we respond.

That is why so many worthless ingrates such as Koba are here.

Basically living off the fat of the land, and turning around and bad-mouthing America and Americans.

Worthless parasitic hypocrites.

I don't know this word microcephalic. You shouldn't insult people that you cannot see. It is not honorable.

Dowry burnings are harsh, sure, but usually the husband was promised money and the wife's family didn't pay up. They broke the contract, a serious offense in a lawless country. There is female infanticide, but many men don't want daughters because you have to pay a dowry for them. Also, when Indians get old they live with their sons, not their daughters, so sons are important. Sons fight for you, daughters cry for you. They don't dump old people into nursing homes and let them die like they generally do in this country. The caste system has changed except in backward areas. Hindus worship cows because they see it as an incarnation of Lord Krishana who was a god. Christians worship Jesus, someone who was crucified like a common criminal. You can't make objective evaluations of religion. Also, you're the one giving morality lectures, not me.I only give facts you can't argue with, and facts are obstinate things. By the way, Jesus was technically Asain. Yeah for us! I don't think he'd like the way you are behaving.

Koba: Your justifications for setting a female on fire, perpetuating a racist caste system, and murdering a female baby are A-OK, quite admirable. They make totally good sense, fom an Indian point of view.

I mean, THE VERY NERVE of someone to break a contract and not expect to be doused in gasoline and set aflame! You sure showed those b*tches!! Good to see they got what they deserved. What a bunch of stupid females and fathers-in-law you must have in India.

And the infanticide: Those female infants were asking to be killed, weren't they? Sounds like they deserved what they got, too.

Likewise, the caste system. It's perfectly okay to preserve it, SO LONG AS IT'S NOT IN THE BIG CITIES.

You know, I'm really learning a lot about logic from you.

You are right, I was terribly illogical before we had this brief correspondence.

Sounds like a great civilization you primitives got going on there over India-way.

Back on Planet Earth, however, these sorts of hideous and cowardly crimes are generally frowned-upon, and nobody with any sense of honor or humanity even tries to justify them.

So thanks for trying to justify them, you really are clarifying yourself nicely in your posts.

Your culture sucks, koba, and it is an embarrassment even to you.

Ramdalesh, if you don't know the word, 'microcephalic,' then how do you know it is an insult?

Both of you guys: Good luck, farewell, and join me for a hamburger some time.
