SEATTLE — The debate over what parents should legally be allowed to know about their children in public schools, known as the “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” has gone back and forth for the past several years, and on November 3, voters get their say.

"Washingtonians should vote no on this issue because it removes common sense protections for students, their families, and even for our schools," mom and Washington State Director for the Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates Courtney Normand said.

"Instead of moving towards taking away their rights, we need to empower parents and teach them that their job is the most important for the child that they have in their home," mom, substitute teacher, and coach Anna Conner said.

“A beautiful state full of stupid people...”

Not sure who has more stupid people, California or Washington.

This is such garbage and if passed will just cost the taxpayers more in legal fees. The state can’t vote to take away your rights. Even if the majority of voters say so.

I would venture that a good percentage of stupid people in Washington came from California. It’s the liberal virus, ruin one place and both to another to ruin int. Generations of crossbreeding have cemented it in.

Exactly what’s happened to Texas. Another couple election cycles and Texas is the next California.

...what parents should legally be allowed to know about their children in public schools...

I can't believe this is even being questioned. If anything, it should be illegal to prevent a parent from knowing anything about their children. Aren't they responsible for them?

The citizens' initiative is to reinstate parental rights that were taken away by the state legislature. So, passing it (yes vote) is a good thing.
