Good deeds are not enough. Name who did this. State why. And say, without embarrassment: never again.
eptember 11 is not a day for vague emotional uplift. It is not a seminar on American foreign policy. It is not an occasion to distort a massacre into “differences with the United States.” It is the anniversary of a morning when Islamist terrorists murdered nearly three thousand people on American soil.
Calls to unite Americans and “do a good deed” to honor those murdered by these terrorists are fine if they come with a clear account of who attacked this country, why they did it, and a hard commitment that it must never happen again.
The al Qaeda terrorists did not hijack those planes because of political differences with the U.S. They did it because they despised the civilization those towers represented: democracy, mixed societies, individual liberty, women in public life, Jews and Christians, and secular people living without clerical veto. Al Qaeda’s leaders said so. Their documents said so. Their sermons said so. Pretending otherwise is not nuance. It is amnesia.
There is a persistent effort to minimize that record or invent “another side” to the story. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) reduced the attacks to “some people did something.” Hasan Piker, who campaigned with Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, said in 2019 that “America deserved 9/11.” A New Jersey curriculum produced with CAIR-NJ and “Teaching While Muslim” has told students that the attacks were a response to U.S. support for Israel, the Persian Gulf War, and the American military presence in the Middle East.

The enemy, Islamists, is long well known but the Left denies it.
They are on the rise until the Lord himself comes back to destroy them and their false Christ Imam.
Wonder if they'll say anything about the real victims of 9/11 - those who died in the towers, on the hijacked airliners, first responders and rescue workers who died from cancer. Probably not a peep...
I have a few Muslim friends; I know them and trust they are not radicals. But Muslims in general are like pit bulls (they hate dogs, so good analogy). They are friendly one day, trying to rip your face off the next. What radicalizes a Muslim? It is like a serial killer who begins killing because of a triggering event. Some people have violent fantasies, but do not kill. Then something triggers them, and they act out the fantasy, killing innocents. To me, this describes exactly how Islamists behave. Yet right now, podcasters and influencers and even conservatives are trying to convince everyone that the Jews did it. I have to ask: who profits from that?

I understand enough to not want any more Dearborns in this country. But I am not an antisemite, nor do I hate all Muslims. In their own countries and inside their culture, they can be some of the most hospitable, charitable, and kind people. You just can't tell when a Muslim decides to radicalize.
I agree with this guy. I’ve been through the 911 museum in New York, and most of it makes no mention of the enemy. It’s as though the towers were hit by a meteor.
There is a section that discusses the perpetrators.
I think the museum didn’t want to portray all Muslims or whoever that live peacefully among us as bad guys, and most of them aren’t bad guys.
