The Federal Trade Commission on Monday sued Amazon, alleging the e-commerce giant "misled advertisers" about its sponsored ads pricing and auction systems, the company confirmed.

The lawsuit argues that advertisers were harmed by a "company-wide effort to deceive" them, including through a change it made in 2018 to its auction strategy.

The complaint is joined by more than 20 state attorneys general, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the lawsuit.

I only used eBay. At least it is fine shoplifted merchandise.

Amazon has also been caught forcing sellers to match Amazons price.
So if you also list at a lower price at say walmart or Target etc then Amazon will tell the seller to bring up the price at those sites to Amazons price with left unsaid that will be banned from selling at Amazon if they do not...

I have had similar experiences. When I review a product and say negative things about the the sellers offerings, they have been telling me I can’t say that.

I have been buying Amazon nearly from its founding in 1994. This only started perhaps a year ago.
