President Donald Trump said extreme heat in the nation's capital on July 4 won't stop him from giving his big speech.

In fact, despite triple-digit temperatures in the forecast, the famously long-winded Trump is promising to give lengthy remarks ahead of a historic fireworks celebration that will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

I don’t know if it was by the choice of my local educational TV or PBS but we didn’t get the live event as we have in the past. It was delayed until 11:30pm CDT. Instead, at the usual Capitol 4th time, we got some ridiculous multi-culti presentation from Virginia, complete with stolen lands acknowledgments & mostly minority cast.

RSBN picked it up and it was awesome , President and First Lady came on at 11:16 PM after a rain delay and the show continued....Great speech/FIREWORKS were unbelievable...The Air Force band and singers along with an orchestra played along to the Awesome fireworks display....perfectly done. God bless this 250th anniversary of our Republic.

PBS had A Capitol 4th on Friday night instead of on the 4th.

amazing how thunder and rain subsided just in time for speech and fireworks - and then drizzle returned after the show. the parade of flags woven into speech was worth the price of admission.

On the internet were reporters claiming Trump’s 250 Anniversary bash was a “dud” due to no one showing up. They never mentioned the heat.
From what I saw last night the area was PACKED for the fireworks.

Lee Greenwood sang, then 'Hail to the Chief' and later the Star-Spangled Banner. Enormously successful event laced with overwhelming pride in America.

It won't be until the Tricentennial before there will be a more magnificent firework display. Obviously, many of us won't be here to see that.
