Former Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., leads each of his three Democrat rivals in recent polling of Michigan's open U.S. Senate race, but every margin falls within the surveys' margins of error, leaving the contest statistically tied roughly 10 weeks before the Aug. 4 Democratic primary, with control of the chamber potentially riding on the outcome.
Rogers, the Trump-endorsed presumptive Republican nominee, will share the stage this week with the three Democrats vying to replace retiring Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., at the Detroit Regional Chamber's annual Mackinac Policy Conference on Mackinac Island.
All four candidates are scheduled to speak on Thursday.
A Glengariff Group survey conducted April 28 to May 1 for the Detroit Regional Chamber shows Rogers ahead of all three Democrats by margins within the poll's 4-point margin of error.
Among voters who said they will definitely vote, the gaps narrow further: Rogers and Democrat state Sen. Mallory McMorrow tie at 43%, while Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., edges Rogers 44.4% to 44.2%, according to WLNS.
On the Democrat side, former Wayne County health director Abdul El-Sayed has opened a lead over the field.
A Mitchell Research & Communications survey for Michigan Information & Research Service conducted May 1-7 put him at 28%, with Stevens at 18% and McMorrow at 17%.
Thirty-eight percent of respondents were undecided.

Democrat Muslim? -—— Wayne County health director Abdul El-Sayed
Hasn’t Detrioticans started electing muzzie terrorists like the other upper Midwest Africans?
My Michigan is one of the worst states in the union for political corruption involving voter identification and ballot counting.
Newspapers were taped over all the windows curing counting with the absurd excuse: “Ballots and voter rolls may have personal information and addresses that someone might see if they walked past the windows. this insures secure privacy for the voters.” Laughably ridiculous.
Voting machines with serious problems ((man complained his Trump vote switched over to Hillary again and again—woman in front said “Sir, do you see that long line of people waiting to vote? We can’t take a machine down.” Later it WAS taken down.))
So Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered all voting machines to be cleared to zero the day after election. Reason? There is a state law that machines have o be ready and cleared to zero in time for the next petition or candidate primary or regular election at that polling place. Next was many months in the future but Whitmer had them cleared right away so the GOP warrants could not be honored-—and she knew there were disputes and warrants announced.
Hope the Dems nominate Abdul what’s his name to run against Rogers. Michigan may have its muslims, but it sure as hell is not NYC.
They probably will so it looks like we’ll lose NC but we’ll gain MI.
