SEATTLE, WA - Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Seattle on Friday to mark May Day, continuing a 140-year tradition of advocating for American workers' rights.
While the day is rooted in labor history, this yearโs participants also focused on immigration reform and opposition to current federal policies including the US's involvement in multiple wars.
Participants at the rally spoke on how modern workers' rights are inseparable from immigration issues and international concerns.
Many demonstrators voiced specific opposition to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the current presidential administrationโs handling of immigrant labor.

It's likely at least half were just out enjoying the rare sunny day in seattle.
Why do they even try anymore? Everyone on Earth knows they are being paid or being led there by a public school teacher.
And were given excused absences - against their parent's knowledge- by the school district.
Losers-R-Us
Comrade Xi Jinping supports them for doing it on Communist Labor Day.
I can only laugh at them. Not a pimple on the asses of the VN protester assclowns a lot of us dealt with back when. Same stoopid mind set though.
Idiots.... I’d love to see them spend a week in the old USSR, or China during the cultural revolution, or walk down a street in Cambodia wearing glasses.
Lot’s of idealistic Americans went to the USSR during the 1930s when they read how awesome it was. Many were never seen again. REAL communists didn’t welcome them, they quickly decided they would only make trouble, might be spies or who knows what.
Actual communists just killed them.
Idiots.
In Phoenix, we had to settle for the same squalid band of retirees holding “No Kings” signs on an overpass.
Focused on global communism, you mean, AJ.
I used to shrug these off as inconsequential. Still are not going to topple our government. Not this year.
Something about when I saw a guy in a No Kings rally recently in the sector chanting for overthrowing the US capitalistic system to bring in “communism” by name——it triggered me. I was not surprised at seeing that for the first time but the confluence of events made me see our system is only as strong as the people here——and the people here are increasingly lowlifes who should have been flushed down a toilet.
THEY don’t allow free speech for our side. Charlie Kirk was killed in cold blood.
They pushed horrible lawfare to stifle and bankrupt and possibly imprison our President Trump for a year. Lathisa ran for office on “If I get in there I will find something—something-—on Trump to bring him down.” That’s NOT justice.
Sunlight is the great disinfectant.
Commies or Nazis or perverts let them march and parade around so decent folk can see who the enemy is or maybe if they would want to join the enemy for as long as we are free they have that choice.
It’s the cockroaches who fear the light and work anonymously online that are the greatest threat.
Eventually, our patience will run out and the pendulum will swing the other way.
Charlie Kirk shot and killed. No retribution.
Luigi shoots a man in the back and kills him and gets marriage proposals and legal fund donations from fans. Our response—nothing (”legal system” counts as nothing).
The journalist’s dinner shooter becomes the THIRD outright assassination attempt. Our response. “Let’s turn down the rhetoric.” Brings more hateful comments from Hakeem, Morning Joe and apologists for Kimmel’s “widow” comment. Our side complains to each other.
The woke leftists are having the time of their lives.
I saw a clip of the totally gushing and blushing crone Meryl Streep lavishing praise on Jimmy Kimmel for his courage in holding up to the evil conservatives for his heroic slam abut Melania becoming a widow. ๐คฃ๐
I saw a clip of the totally gushing and blushing crone Meryl Streep lavishing praise on Jimmy Kimmel
Just like she lavished praise on Harvey Weinstein, back in the day.
The Chicago ones discussed on Fox News were said to have been allowed and encouraged to leave class by the teachers, some teachers didn’t want to but felt pressured so let them go, AND THE STUDENTS ARRIVED BY BUSES. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Did the taxpayers pay for school buses to go there? Driven by paid school district bus drivers? Or are Soros family companies funding that? Along with paying some protesters.
Laura Ingraham to anti-ICE protester blocking streets and sidewalks last month: “How do you have time to be out here an a weekday? Why don’t you just get a job?”
Woman, cheerfully: “This is my job. I’m getting paid for this.”
Seattle is one of only two American cities that experienced a general strike. (The other was San Francisco.) The 1919 Seattle general strike was broken up by the National Guard due to some “yellow journalism” from the local Hearst newspaper.
Just try to stay upwind. A lot of those tie dyed tops, head scarves and hippie dresses haven’t been washed in years and neither have the sweaty old timers wearing them and shrieking for socialism.
“We grow old too soon and smart too late.”
Another city had many signs and chants for “86 47.” And it wasn’t at a beach. โฐ๏ธ ๐ชฆ
Reportedly 40 cities had rallies. Shameful.
