She said area stores will sell a "bubble," also called an oil burner, pizzo, or pilo, a type of glass pipe used to smoke substances including fentanyl for $6, and that King County gives them out for free "in the name of harm reduction."

Seattle gives out free meth pipes but plastic straws are illegal

If an organization serving the homeless solves the problem then there’s no need for it to continue existing. Therefore there’s no real incentive to solve the problem.

Of course Socialism at the local level will never work, that’s why more and more you will hear them say, that socialism can only work at the National Level, or even as the Bolsheviks originally intended, it can only work if there is a worldwide revolution.

it’s been a downhill spiral for at least 25 years. This dingbat mayor they just elected makes Karl Marx sound like a capitalist.

The socialist movement in liberal cities is admission that daddy has to bail them out from their mess.

They created the mess, let them deal with it. As for me, I will never go to that liberal hell hole.

The communists don’t see any problem as the result of communist policies. Rather, when a problem arises when the communists are in control, it’s viewed as an inevitable thing, kind of like rain. It happens, so what? Vote commie.

They don’t care about Seattle, it’s just a means to an end for them, to bring about Socialism at the National Level.

All politics is national, now.

There is already one statue of Lenin in Seattle. It’s in the Fremont District.
Maybe they just need more Lenin statues.

Most liberals are stuck on stupid, and it is difficult if not impossible to fix stupid.

It has been a socialist city for decades.
The premise of the story is long dead.
The people who still vote for it are delusional.

But what do you think will happen when every single big US City is run by a Socialist mayor?

They will get together and coordinate to bring the country to its knees to get what they want.

Then Civil War II is on!

Worse. WA just passed an millionaire tax violating the state’s constitution. The last barrier to socialism has been breached. Woe to Seattle.

Oh, Seattle will be just fine. All they need to do is to raise taxes more, shut down all the prisons completely, and to approve that high speed rail to Portland.

The solution to homelessness in any city is simple: JAIL

My preference is forced labor; i.e., work or don't eat, preferably dong something useful like pulling weeds, cleaning litter... But we'd have to get the lawyers out of the business of suing over work related injuries first.

Which is precisely what they did in Communist Countries. If you didn’t have a job, they could arrest you.

What they are doing now, is just to bring down society, so they can impose their new order to replace it.
