The Tennessee Senate passed legislation Monday allowing patients to sue their doctor for “coercing” them into seeking gender reassignment some 30 years after treatment.
Republican Sen. Adam Lowe of Calhoun passed Senate Bill 2031 24-5 although he was unable to provide evidence that physicians are persuading people to seek transgender care.
Responding to questions from Democratic lawmakers, Lowe said the law would apply when someone is “de-transitioning” from previous gender treatment “under some sort of premise of wellness that they didn’t achieve.” He explained that a similar private cause of action exists in a Tennessee law enacted three years ago that allows lawsuits dealing with transgender care for minors. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld that law prohibiting gender-affirming care for minors.
The new measure is different in that it would deal with “coercion” by physicians with a 30-year statute of limitations, but Lowe said the bill does not create a new definition for the term.

Any child or teen that has had their lives disrupted from some quack enabling their transition must be able to sue said quack.
Butts are puckering at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
This is what is needed to stop this butchery. If these wicked people have to worry about getting sued years later that will end this madness
I lived in Nashville for awhile. Vandy was always a boil on the backside of Tennessee. Attracted the trashiest of liberals from everywhere.
My daughter considered going to Vanderbilt for college. I’m glad she chose a different school.

I lived there in the ‘70s but won’t go there for any reason nowadays. The whole place has turned into a liberal cesspool.
I don’t know if you recall a couple of years ago when a video was leaked from Vandy of a woman discussing the transgender surgeries they were doing and how profitable it was. That’s pretty much what got this ball rolling. I don’t know how many surgeries they performed but the number is probably pretty high. With this bill setting the statute of limitations at 30 years, heads must be exploding tonight.
Yes. But not just kids - it is easier to manipulate kids than adults, but adults can be manipulated as well.
