MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 29 (Reuters) - U.S. border czar Tom Homan, newly installed as commander of President Donald Trump's immigration enforcement surge in Minneapolis, said on Thursday that federal agents would focus on "targeted, strategic enforcement operations," marking a shift in the aggressive tactics that have drawn national outrage.
Homan also said he intended to reduce the 3,000-strong force of agents deployed to the city after what he said were productive meetings with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and other local leaders.
"We can do better," he said. "We made some significant gains, significant coordination and cooperation, and you're going to see some massive changes occurring here in this city."
His appearance suggested a continued de-escalation from Trump's administration, which has been under intensifying political pressure to recalibrate its approach in Minneapolis after two U.S. citizens were shot dead by federal agents.

I believe that in the cases of both shootings they were in fact targeted operations.

I trust Homan to do the right thing. This is how it should have been done from the beginning.
The Left is permanently outraged that Trump is president.
And that’s what this is really all about, along with a distraction about their fraud.
They don’t give a fig about illegal aliens.
Minneapolis, New York City, Chicago, and other liberal enclaves are filled with illegals who will not assimilate and hold worldviews that are incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.
They now have infiltrated into rural America like a stage 4 cancer. Something must be done. It’s almost too late.
I hear ya, but they did try. They’re still doing this in Texas, and there are no problems there, because Texas law enforcement cooperates with ICE.
It is the democrat stronghold Sanctuaries that are giving the Administration all this trouble.

Current boots on the ground need a break, some down time at home.
#1, all illegals in jail, and their hommies at large, have to go home. You do not need 3,000 ICE agents chasing people down the street.
#2, intercept illegals at couthouses.
#3, start with the violent with long criminal records. We do not need these violent criminal causing trouble
#4, and most important, if you are an illegal you are a criminal. We get aroung to you after we eject the violent ones.

It’s not just blue cities my friend.
Every single day now I encounter people from other countries that can’t, or refuse to speak English.......that is a failure to assimilate as far as I’m concerned.
It’s beyond my understanding how someone can function in a country and not speak the native language.
They tried for onesy-twosy violent criminals who should have been tracked down with or without ICE. Mass deportations? No.
The platform by which Trump got elected and re-elected Unfortunately, no. Instead, Trump has come out for various forms of amnesty from last spring to his Davos speech this month.
