(Defections From IRGC To Crown Prince - U.S. Forces Arrive Outside Iran)
Interesting ... Times 🤔🤔🤔
Iran is out of water, their economy has collapsed, they’re experiencing hyperinflation.
There are a lot of desperate people who are not seeing the downside to the mullahs being deposed because things are so bad. Can things get worse if they bring back the Shah? Yes, of course it possibly could be worse. But it could also be a lot better. I’m not advocating a choice for or against here. But the Iranian people see anyone other than the mullahs running things being a net positive.

The Pahlavis were usurpers and land grabbers. But if the Iranian people want him, even if he’s a dirtbag like his grandaddy and great grandaddy, that’d be an improvement over the Ayatollahs. At that point, it’s between him and the Iranians, who would be hot from their recent revolution, and realize that they can improve their lives by their own actions. Pahlavi can FAFO.
Bomb the leadership of that country back to the 7th century. They can all share the same matchbox they used for whatever was left of Sulemani. There is no better time than now. They are isolated, they have no water (literally no groundwater and their reservoirs are empty) there is a major uprising from the Iranians. Russia has their hands full in Ukraine. China just wants oil and can be persuaded by allowing Venezuelan oil in the mean time until Iran is stabilized. Let the arab states stamp their feet for their low IQ citizens while they do nothing. Now is the time.
The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group to enter within range on Friday (23 Jan). It should be well situated for sustained operations on Saturday. Other assets have been flowing into the region for days, and force protection measures in the region have increased.
Bomb the leadership of that country back to the 7th century.
You’d have to bomb the civilians bravely standing up to the leadership, as well. They will use human shields. Same as Hamas, only Shiite instead of Sunni, whatever the hell difference that makes.
Deter them into stepping down would be greatly preferable. Let ‘em go take up residence next to Snowden. If not, send in the special forces and spooks, if they aren’t already there. Mossad is.
thankfully Donald Trump has a red line somewhere in Iran that cannot be crossed!
I think they are playing red-line hopscotch.
“You’d have to bomb the civilians bravely standing up to the leadership, as well.”
So be it. I’m sure there would be plenty of ‘forces’ on the ground with the native population that will fight. The ONLY thing islam understands is force and violence. Normally, I would let a strongman control the violent culture of Islam (Kadaffy, Saddam, Assad) because they had no global ambitions and were easily controlled. Iran though, they have been spreading terrorism the world over and when they get nukes, they’ll use them.
Interesting times indeed.
Chalabi lacked credibility in Iraq on the ground because he was a wealthy Shiite exile who returned only in the wake of the US invasion and overthrow of Saddam. Pahlavi is marginally better, but only as a rallying point and transitional figure. Foolishly, he seems to want more than that.
