This isn't actually an article. It's more a series of headlines and short blurbs about what's currently going on with Europe and Greenland.

I wonder if they built any coastal fortifications before they left. The Germans do love their costal fortifications.

if china or Russia tomorrow decided to flex its muscle in Greenland, Denmark and the rest of the EU would pick up their panties and run leaving us to protect it, so why not take it as our won, period! we cannot rely on the incompetent for our security

The poor German soldiers froze their rear ends off for a few days and then said “we are outta here—whoever wants this awful place can have it”.

Lol.

Getting older is a funny thing. I have no idea where I put my car keys from yesterday. A search is now underway.

But I recognized that guy immediately. He was the first German to see the Allied invasion fleet in “The Longest Day”. I last saw that movie maybe 25 years ago.

Again here’s a nice picture of the Danish navy sortieing to practice defending Greenland from Putin . . . or Trump.

He was also Robert Shaw’s driver in the Battle of the Bulge.

Interdimensional gremlins borrowed your keys.

They will wait until after you get frustrated and give up the search.

Then they will return the keys...

To somewhere you already searched.

Lol.

I am beginning to think there is a threat that is real and immediate that we are not privy to. The urgency and intensity is unexpected.

That’s why The Longest Day is such a great movie: Germans played Germans, French played French, etc.

They actually did a version with all the actors speaking English, instead of their native language, it was unwatchable.

Tora, Tora, Tora was the same way. Couldn’t do a film like that today. Not enough diversity.

I always joke that now Thomas Kretschmann has to be in every WWII movie involving the Germans.

You may well be right. But as I understand it, not only do we have more military deployed in Greenland than Denmark and the rest of NATO combined, we have pretty much a free hand in deploying military as we please by right of a 1951 treaty.
